4 UNIQUE LOFTS, PRIVATE FROM THE STREET AND FILLED WITH LIGHT
The Wedge creates four private interior worlds at one of the busiest intersections in Venice. On a triangular property, curved at its creation to follow the arc of a canal rather than than the flow of traffic, the lofts inevitably face into the headlights of oncoming traffic. The facade prevents the intrusion of Venice Boulevard, simultaneously embracing and protecting private lives from the energy of the city. The architecture integrates art work by Nancy Monk and Randy West. Forming a bridge between the historic civic center and a transforming neighborhood, the Wedge is in the spirit of experimentation fundamental to the ethos of Venice.
