One of the first things that grabbed my attention when I moved to New York City was the incredible number of water towers all over the city. They're witnesses of a different era. But even though there are thousands of them, I haven't seen a single one that's been integrated into the architecture of a building. To celebrate these neglected necessities of architecture, I designed a penthouse that 'embraces' an old water tower and makes it the heart of a modern penthouse.
