The library covers an area of 450 square meters. It is located on a hill in the park, where the sea can be seen from the south, with a new community on the east side. It provides a cultural and artistic place for residents and also needs to be a new landmark of the area. The design integrates the cultural functions of the library and the media attributes of a landmark building, unifies physical experience and visual communication, and explores an innovative library model. The library is no longer a serious, solemn and closed sanctuary, but a peaceful, relaxing and transparent place for knowledge transfer and community interaction.
Hidden at the end of the hill, the roof section of the library is like a bowl, inside which the space is a pool. With a Utopian color, below the bowl, the main building is located. People can enter the pool and walk on the water, their sight skimming over to see the sea level in the distance. Water, sky and sea are integrated here and now. The architectural modeling emphasizes the simple geometric shapes - circle, square and straight line, and the overall white enhances the purity. Hopefully it can coexist with the site, respecting the environment, but with its own character.
The space sequence forms an interesting experience between people and the sea : from the hilltop, the long wall leads people to the roof pool, building and the sea; Down into the building, through the porch and the dark hall in the middle, it is a closed space; Then, entering the bright reading space located in the outer circle of the building, people can see the outside scenery again; Finally, you can leave the building from another entrance and return to the hilltop along the stairs.
