An eco-friendly restaurant, inside a bioclimatic greenhouse with a steel corten structure inspired by the olive tree, enclosed in a glass cover, where it is possible to eat products collected directly from the vegetable garden.
An anonymous rural building from the eighties, within the Estate Di Sipio,, has been transformed into an exclusive restaurant, immersed in an olive grove in the Abruzzo countryside.
The architectural concept of the new added object is entrusted to the tree symbol.
The tree starts from the ground with a trunk that rests on a corner of the glass envelope, from this trunk all the structural elements branch out, triangular blades in corten, which form a complex and harmonious intertwining of branches between the room and the sky .
The total transparency allows you to enjoy both the sky and the surrounding countryside.
During the day, time is marked by natural light filtered through the tangles of thick branches, projecting the architecture of the structure to the ground, changing according to the position of the sun and the presence of clouds. At night the point lights are reflected on the windows and blend with the starry sky.
From an energy point of view, the principle of the bioclimatic greenhouse is exploited, in the warm and temperate months, the climate inside the structure is optimized by the special windows that cut ultraviolet and infrared rays, the vertical sliding openings and the opening of elements in the roof, allow natural air circulation, avoiding room heating.
In the cold months, the greenhouse effect of the glazed structure is exploited, the air exchange is ensured by introducing pre-treated air into the environment from a heat recovery unit.
