“THE TREE HOUSE”

The idea took off from an old "Ever Green Ash Tree” rooted and grew on top of the hilly property situated in Timberland San Mateo Rizal Philippines. A creative product brought by the “Pandemic” addressing most of the things we took notice of during the lock down.

This modern Tree House is designed to be sustainable, its design inspiration resembles the parts of the tree evidently and consistently branching in different areas of the structure. The project will employ the use of green and sustainable features such as; solar panels, rain catchment system, and strategic allocation for planting organic herbs and vegetables for food consumption under the stilts.

This Ecocentric structure will not only mean efficiency and cost savings. Nonetheless, applying that farm-to-table concept will also improve the health and the quality of life of the end-users, Furthermore, this design approach can also address catastrophe in the event of floods and lock down.

Steadfast, on its commitment to pursue "Organic Architecture", which is rooted and founded on the firm green values of the author, carefully the site condition is evaluated and thoroughly assessed to see all possible aspects that may affect the site's natural topography and its natural surroundings.
Working on something that is already there, may seem to be a difficult task to undertake, but given the right mindset, strategy, and creativity, it can certainly work to the advantage of humankind.

Topography and the existing trees are two of the major challenges addressed, utilizing the stilts to minimize the disturbance of the soil and punching the trees through the slabs is likewise a satisfying view to gaze at.

Moreover, just like a Tree, the designer's goal is to create that symbiosis between the end-user, the structure & those that nature offers.

Lastly, the amount of respect for nature as architects, builders, or any person for that matter should always have that great courage and discipline to protect our environment. "Because nature has its way of nurturing humanity"
