The Terrace is a timber-framed mixed-used development located in the heart of a bustling community renowned for its natural materials, small business, and pedestrian-focused shopping corridors and bike routes. The Terrace focuses on creating a healthy lifestyle where people can live, work, and play within an urban environment.
The Terrace’s superstructure consists of glulam timber columns and beams with cross-laminated timber panels as the floor structure and roof deck to help decarbonize the project. The Terrace towers 90 feet above grade and consists of over 85,000 square feet of underground parking, retail, event center space, outdoor amenity deck, apartments, and a boutique hotel. The timber-framed superstructure is clad in two materials: glass and weathering steel, known as corten, to create a facade that ages with the building.
The project is oriented on-site to create a public space that welcomes visitors and guests to create an immersive shopping experience while enjoying live music and other entertainment. The Terrace bridges the gap between tactile and luxury and focuses on creating a unique, inclusive experience for all.
