In order to fully transition to the implementation of the K to 12 program, the 5,750 sq.m. Spark building will incorporate different tracks and strand facilities for the Senior High School program. These will include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), ABM (Accountancy, Business and Management) and HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) laboratories under the Academic Track and the Arts and Design Track.
The Spark will be a dynamic avenue for educational explorations and discoveries. This will be reflected in the modern laboratories designed for individual and collaborative projects. The ground floor of the Spark will feature a large, alfresco study and dining area with views of the student parkway and the future sports complex. The second to fourth floor will house a variety of Clean, Industrial and Art Laboratories while the Learning Commons will be situated on the fifth floor.
The building’s facade will be defined by “dancing” vertical sunshades to emulate the dynamic activities of the structure. Energy efficient fixtures such as LED lamps and inverter type ACs will be used to reduce operational cost and minimize carbon emmission. Vertical gardens will also be integrated to continue the overall eco theme of the campus.
