The Smart Green Tower project is located in the core area of Future City D2 in the Sino-German Ecological Park in Qingdao, with the construction area of 9,100 square meters above ground and 3,400 square meters of underground. The project is divided into 9 floors, with office area, fish pond ecology-, battery energy storage-, green energy-, smart grid control- and soilless cultivation exhibition center, in order to make it a zero-carbon demonstration building in China. The building adopts various energy-saving measures, such as photovoltaic panels, green plants on the façade and roof, landscape rainwater collection reservoirs, etc., to fully reach the limit of building energy-saving and emission reduction.
This project strives to achieve the following building energy efficiency goals:
1. The first new building in China to obtain the Passive House Plus certification of the German Passive House Institute;
2. China’s first nationally certified high-rise zero-energy building in cold climate zone: According to the definition of the Chinese standard “GBT 51350-2019 Near-Zero Energy Building Technical Standard”: Zero-energy building is an advanced form of near-zero energy building, and its indoor environmental parameters are the same as near-zero energy buildings, making full use of the building The building itself and the surrounding renewable energy resources make the annual production capacity of renewable energy greater than or equal to the total energy consumption of the building throughout the year.
3. China’s first nationally certified high-rise zero-carbon building in cold climate zone: The project has taken “zero-carbon operation” as the basic design goal, and the carbon emissions in the building operation stage have accounted for more than 80% of the entire life cycle of the building. At the same time, the main body of the building is an assembled steel structure, which lays a solid foundation for the low carbon of building materials and construction. With a good foundation, in the future, it is only necessary to perform matching calculations according to the definition and index requirements of the new standard for “zero carbon building”. high-rise public zero-carbon buildings in cold regions.
4. China’s first high-rise ”double-zero” building in cold climate zone — zero energy consumption and zero carbon emissions: While meeting the zero-energy building indicators of the “GBT 51350-2019 Near-Zero-Energy Building Technical Standard”, this project will realize zero-carbon buildings according to the carbon emission calculation requirements of the country’s “Zero-Carbon Building Technical Standards” in the future. The first high-rise public double-zero building in cold regions – zero energy consumption and zero carbon emission.
