The Richard E. Lee ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY BLOCK is one of the first two (2) research buildings being constructed in the De La Salle Science & Technology Campus in Binan, Laguna. Otherwise known as "The Hangar Building," the facility will house instructional and research laboratories for the College of Engineering, College of Computer Studies and College of Science.
The structure itself has 2 components - the Research Building and the Hangar Shed. The form of the shed takes its inspiration from the "Sikat" solar car which was developed by the school and an airport hangar. The shed may be viewed from certain laboratories and learning centers of the Research Building. Natural skylights and large, aerodynamic ceiling fans will be used to optimize energy efficiency.
