Making the cinema Pushkinsky building an object of
entertainment, contemplation and reference will help it overcome its actual
adjutant role. Through its facade, a building can be able to donate itself to
the citizens in every blink, working as a background of deeper human
interaction.
The existing glass façade of the Pushkinsky cinema
does not meet present energy efficient standards. The main point of this
intervention is to replace this glass wall with a sandwich system façade, using
Corian®, Alestra® AP powder coating and Sentryglass®. Sandwich systems are the
top of the art in façade construction these days. Its advantage comes from the
fact that energy transition slows down when it goes from one material to
another. Filled with air, these sandwiches insulate heat and sound.
The red color is a result of Alestra® AP powder
coating on the Corian® surfaces of the cube. LED lightning was placed inside
the cubes so it glows, giving it its amazing light effect at night.
The Pushkinsky cinema will shine on its own once more.
