The R2 Tower is a mixed used development
in Kuwait that was designed by Mounif Nehmeh and will be built by MNA
Group. Mounif Nehmeh’s design for the R2 Tower
confirms the prevalent role of business development at the very core of
Kuwait’s rapidly changing future. The aspiration of the tower and its
design is to be icons that reach far beyond scale and location of the project,
the tower itself becoming a symbol of the surrounding developments and the
whole Gulf region. The tower’s striking design creates a
new presence that punctures the skyline with a powerful and recognizable shape. The fluid character of the tower is generated through a dynamic composition of
volumes. The tower program includes offices and retail areas on the first
three floors, giving the offices a great panoramic view looking out
over the main street, named Ahmad Al Jaber Street, of Kuwait City’s
downtown.
