The Peddie
School needed an updated facility for their award-winning swim team and
other sports teams and activities. The concourse of the new and
expanded Athletic and Aquatic Center creates a welcoming entry, a
gathering place for students and visitors and a cohesive connection
between the field house, natatorium, fitness center and other
facilities. Slender, recessed linear slots contain lighting, sprinklers
and speakers, and create a rhythm and vocabulary for the entire
building. With a state-of-the-art Light Pipe lighting system at the
pool, and luminous exterior walls that glow white or “Peddie Blue” at
night, the campus has a new center of activity and excitement.
