"The Pearl," located in Çeşme-Dalyan, one of İzmir’s prime areas, bears the signature of the award-winning architectural firm BAD-Başak Akkoyunlu Design, representing the elegance and functionality of modern architecture in an exceptional manner. The structure consists of three main sections, including a basement, a ground floor integrated with a carefully designed garden and pool, and a first floor that seamlessly combines comfort with high living standards.
Perched on a hill 150 meters from the sea, The Pearl is situated on a 900 sqm plot. Inspired by sea waves, the eaves that wrap around the building are dimensioned according to the sun’s direction, creating different seating areas throughout the day. This eave repeats its form in the building mass and hardscape, extending as the upper cover of the dining and kitchen area by the pool. The primary design element of the house is the view emphasized in all main spaces, while service areas are positioned on the land-facing side.
Due to the topography, vehicle access is provided from the upper basement level to a four-car garage, while access to the garden level is also available from a side road. Although the main entrance is located on the garden floor, special attention is given to the garage entrance, which is predominantly used by homeowners. After parking, one passes through a sunken garden filled with lemon and palm trees, reaching a spacious vestibule and elevator lobby in the basement. Additionally, a large multipurpose living area on this level opens onto the garden and connects to a wine and cigar room.
The basement also includes functional spaces such as a relaxation room with a sauna, a staff room, and a laundry room, all organized around the entrance and living area.
The ground floor is defined by a spacious pool and terrace that seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor living. Enriched with natural elements, this level includes a garden connected to the living room, a functional kitchen, and a guest room. The strong relationship between interior and exterior spaces ensures a lifestyle constantly engaged with the pool and garden, offering expansive views of Dalyan from every corner.
On the first floor, there is a bedroom with a private balcony offering panoramic views, along with two additional bedrooms that share a large terrace. The defining feature of the house the panoramic view is prioritized throughout, and the upper floor, integrated with the eave and landscape elements, continues to provide sweeping views of the surroundings.
