We are often attracted by something different from our lives. The next page in a book is always a secret, hiding and revealing the rest of the story, the plot’s direction, a future to imagine. Books give us a glimpse of what we cannot have in life. At the end of each page, an interrupted word or sentence regales us with a fantasy of what may happen – yet often does not. This project was inspired by the moment of suspense when we turn the page and try to catch sight of what’s next, as panels give the room shape and hide nonessential words. What will happen. Maybe.
