The brief for curvaciousness was a gut reaction against the typical orthogonal cliffhangers of Clifton in which the client had previously lived. The design was based on a series of overlapping splines that created interior and exterior spaces, balconies and double volumes. The home is structured by two bathroom cores at either end that have been cupped by a sinuous screen of Balau timber, and connected together with a timber-clad bridge – the bra-strap.
