The Weston Public Library in the heart of Weston, CT has been chosen as the location for the Daniel E. Offutt Center for Innovation and Art. Designed as a contrast to the existing vernacular style, the modern addition is inviting the visitor with its glass gallery on its north side. The library’s intention to expand their program offerings into arts, crafts and technology will be realized through the new open, sunlit, and airy space. The two-floor 6,500 sf center offers dedicated “dry and wet” areas. The space allows for maker programs for all ages designated for specific art forms. This includes a painting studio, a digital lab with 3D printers, robotics, and a recording booth, as well as an area to exhibit completed work.
