A fine pebble and gravel beach, in the beautiful inlet called “La Mortella” in Nerano, a transparent reflecting pool of water and an old depot maybe once used for boats. This is the theme. This is the bet: obtain in 48 square meters a comfortable vacation house, annex to the overlying villa.
So today the old depot is now a comfortable and charming dependance which lies on the beach a few meters away from the sea: sleeping accommodation for 4 people, 2 bathrooms, fully fitted eat-in kitchen all this in only 48 square meters.
There are all the conforts you can desire: the table fits 4 people comfortably, there's an oven, a dishwasher, a large refrigerator, air conditioning, two flat screen tv's and even a small laundry room.
All this is inspired by the sea that it opens up to: walls, wooden floors and all white furniture with a few turquoise touches in the material and in pieces of the kitchen furniture, the finishes are in the same stainless steel used for boats. In this line, the only exception is a pre-existent stone wall that stands out in the house and is in contrast with the large glass window of the small living room.
The enveloping white changes as the colors vary, through the wide windows of the small living room and kitchen and of the large window of the bedroom, the colors penetrate in the house and from dawn to dusk they take turns on the sea, in the sky and on the silvery fine pebbles of the beach.
The house is also planimetrically projected outwards: the kitchen has a peninsula from which the cook can admire the sea, the sea can be admired also from the shower surrounded by a stone wall and from the bed on the loft situated in front of the large window which is low in order to get a better view and finally the bathroom in which the sandblasting of the glass window is interrupted with a loophole so the sea can be admired also from the sink.
The loft and the bathroom are separated by the stairway and by a stainless steel and glass hall that gives a feeling of spaciousness and lets the light in towards the shower.
