The Bubble project had originally taken many forms through
the design process. The idea stemmed from a structure that would emphasize its
surrounding urban fabric through the use of mirroring it such as cloud gate by
Anish Kapoor. The motivation for this is that people whether pedestrianized or
motorized don’t look at the urban fabric that surrounds them. As the structure
would be something one would be compelled to look at one would in turn be
interacting with the everyday world around it.
A design parameter was its ability to be easily assembled
and disassembled allowing the structure to be shipped around the world in
contains to different locations and events.
