The Navy Green Master Plan is a collaborative project involving the redevelopment of a 103,000 SF city block on a former prison site in Brooklyn known as “The Brig.” The plan creates a unique, mixed-use community by combining affordable rentals and home ownership units with market-rate co-ops, townhouses, and supportive housing facilities. Part of Mayor Bloomberg’s ten year New Housing Marketplace Plan, the development will consist of 434 residential units, additional commercial and open space, and a new community center. The integrated residences proposed by this plan provide a series of home environments that both fit in and stand proud within the context of Navy Green.Master plan (winning submission) designed in collaboration with FXFowle & Curtis Ginsberg Architects
