The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo

Type
The National Museum is a place created for art and the public, provides a
maximum viewing of the collections, changing exhibitions and public events.
Succinctly fit in the space given to it, the building resembles a huge Viking
ship, to dock in the center of Oslo, on the shores of the Fjords. The dynamics inherent in the building - external and internal, is the
current focus of the museum and the dynamics taking place in the exhibition. he building is symbolic. Polygon geometry of the facades said the
complexity and variability of the world of art, architecture and design,
describes the era of the 21 st century, the era of digital technology, the
focus in the future.
Along the perimeter of the museum at ground level building belt channel of
water that has a symbolic and aesthetic significance, the building as it grows
out of the water, recalling the form of a rock or a boat.
The main entrance is located on the right side of the building by highest
concentration of pedestrian flows, the most logical.
Entrance to the museum is located, as it were in the grotto, with a nose
imaginary "ship", visitors dive under a rock, getting in a low area,
and then going to the lobby, in a glass ball with a large central ramp leading
to all floors. This ball can be called "the pearl of the Fjords", or
crystal, a kind of luminous and sparkling in the air element, imbued with light
and reflection.
There is space for exhibitions and installations in the open air.We also offer to place Government
Office Building in the northern part of the frame, which can be connected to
the main transition of the museum building.
It is anticipated that the building of the museum will serve as a kind of
center of social and cultural life of the city.
