The Nashville Food Project, a non-profit focused on cultivating community and alleviating hunger in the city, had outgrown its space. Gresham Smith cooked up a solution that would reflect the growing organization’s strong brand identity and commitment to being an integral and welcoming part of the community. The new headquarters’ site is in a historically low-income community, which allows the organization to figuratively and literally open its doors directly to the people it serves. Our solution had to simultaneously represent the neighborhood and integrate into it, while creating a wholly new space that would help establish a new trajectory for the community.
