Nestled between San Francisco’s Financial District and the Embarcadero, the award-winning Metropolitan was the first major development built in the Rincon Hill/South of Market District after the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake. This high-rise residential project is comprised of two towers above a three-story podium with four levels of below ground parking. The Metropolitan houses 342 high-end condominium units – 500-square-foot studio, 800-square-foot 1 bedrooms, 1,200-square-foot 2 bedrooms – of which 41 units are below market rate. Residential amenities include a health club, indoor pool, community room, theatre, outdoor pavilion with roof terrace, and a formal porte-cochere drop off in front of a secure lobby. The project acknowledges the historic San Francisco tradition of bay windows in a contemporary manner.
