THE MARINE CULTURE AND POP MUSIC CENTER
The main concept is to combine the ecological environment, music, joyful, spiritual peace and the sun… Kaohsiung is a colorful city and my aim was to let the Music center appear as dominant in this city. I decided that the forms should be made to focus on the dynamics, and colors should be simple and light. So, I used materials, which are white concrete and light color metal.
From the distant view, the cultural center looks like a group of white buildings, because the white color is important on the East.
Symbolically, the white color expresses male origin, strength and peace, light and so on..
There will be two types of lighting programs in the center:
1. Graphics on black-white colors_ light gamma program, which is to let the viewer identify the functionality.
2. Color lighting system-Selected color laser show, fireworks and projection on walls of the buildings.
