Hornberger + Worstell won a national competition to provide design services for the rehabilitation of the historic Majestic Yosemite Hotel. Built in 1925 and originally known as the Ahwahnee Hotel, the Majestic is a National Historic Landmark and is among the most significant of the National Park hotels in the United States.

The Majestic Yosemite Hotel has been in near-continuous service for more than 80 years and was in need of repair to restore and preserve its architecture, artwork, and historic finishes. Hornberger + Worstell developed a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate the property, including adjoining guest cottages, and employee dormitory. The most recent phase of work on the site—the creation of a new bar and dining area—concluded in 2016.
