Hybec is one of India’s fasting growing lighting companies. Since their inception in 1988, the company has prided themselves on their unparalleled focus on technology, product quality, product design, and customer service. ABM too, embodies the equivalent tenets within the architectural profession, and so we were eager to design their corporate office for their core team. As a practice, we strive to infuse our designs with the character of our client, creating unique spaces within which the consumer feels comfortable and productive.
Naturally, our office design revolves around lighting, by attempting to create a natural and intuitive flow of light within the space. Using a plethora of Hybec’s fixtures, we were able to calibrate each space to its desired program – the cafeteria for example, has a diffused warm overall glow, but also task lighting over the tables, simultaneously allowing for a place of relaxation and casual collaboration. A ribbed wooden partition envelopes the reception wall acting not only as a decorative element but also as a place to sit; this is the main feature of the office.
We also tried to create an intriguing, fun and modern space, using a tone on tone color palette with vibrant accent colors. The curved wood slats are complemented by bright blue stools, and what would ordinarily be a mundane restroom, is made interesting by a bright pink backsplash.
