Land and house opened one of its sale galleries in 2019 to serve as a showroom for the new condominium The Key on Rama3 road, Bangkok, Thailand. Its design was mainly to represent the overall concept of the new condominium that will be built on the same lot.
The Key characterised itself as a middle-experienced jobber aged between 28-30 who has a unique style. For home decoration, she would prefer mixing and matching decorations from different places to suit her preference the best in every detail more than having ready-to-fit furniture set. This specific character also relates to the history of the Rama3 area, which was once a water transportation hub situated next to the Chao Phraya River and close to the heart of Bangkok, resulting in a mix of cultures and nationalities.
The designer of the sales gallery incorporated these traits into the space's combination of materials, colors, brands, and design elements. The showroom's main color is blue, matching with dark-toned materials to convey the cool character of the condo, which contrasts with the vibrant colors of the furniture. The furniture pieces were sourced from different places, and made from various materials and styles to serve different functions.
To represent the shape of boats and the movement of water, the feature wall was composed of curved lines and oval shapes. The wall's design also symbolizes the merging of different materials and colors, reflecting the mix of cultures in the Rama3 area. The selection of lighting design creates a dynamic effect that gradually flows into the space, reminiscent of water's movement.
