Kaleidoscope is a recreation device that engages light from one end which enlightens colorful objects inside, creating variety of fascinating patterns to enjoy. The Kaleidoscope pavilion offers Museum Gardens a place for summer shelter as well as playful playground for everybody to enjoy the urban environment in variety of unique patterns.
Three surrounding elements are engaged within the Kaleidoscope pavilion. Sunlight is dragged in through panel columns forming light spots on top of the topographic floor. Sky view is engaged as kaleidoscope shows patterns on the inner panels of the pavilion. Environmental view of the Museum Gardens is also engaged as pattern on the panels.
The pavilion consists of three main components: the roof panels, three panel columns and the topographic floor. The roof panels, each joined with inner and outer panels, work as structure themselves. Overall roof panels are also connected with three panel columns which are stabilized on the topographic floor of the pavilion.
