Situated at an intersection, The Intersect House takes its name from both its urban condition and its architectural concept. The house is conceived through a series of intersecting elements - horizontal and vertical planes, solid and transparent volumes, and smooth and textured surfaces. These elements come together to blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors, allowing the house to open seamlessly to its landscape while retaining a sense of grounding and enclosure.
The Intersect House is a modern residential project in Los Angeles. Drawing inspiration from the magnificent Chinese Elm tree on the property, it seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor living spaces and represents a harmonious balance between indoors and outdoors.
The project employs organic construction materials such as brick and wood, crafting an architecture that is both modern and inviting. A continuous brick wall extends seamlessly from the street facade to the rear garden, deliberately dividing the home into public and private areas.
