An 18-month refurbishment project transformed Hurley House from a run-down pub into a boutique hotel set to become a landmark for the local area and a popular destination for customers from further afield looking for a unique and British dining experience in a high quality country-style setting. Owned by Milu (Hurley) Limited, the hotel has a traditional English pub, restaurant, private dining areas and ten en-suite bedrooms.
The site has been home to a public house since 1896 and the design was sensitive to the original building fabric, retaining some elements as features of the new space. The building was extensively stripped back and rebuilt including the addition of a basement and side extension.
Working in collaboration with interior designer Summer Williams the interiors are contemporary and elegant while reflecting England’s pub heritage.
