Set on a steep hillside, House on the Hill began with a challenging site and a clear ambition: to create a home that responds to its landscape while offering an extraordinary experience of living within it.
The approach to the house is part of that experience. As the road climbs toward the hilltop, the first glimpse is unexpected; a dramatic infinity-edge waterfall set against the clean lines of the architecture. It introduces the house not as an object placed on the land, but as something carefully composed with it.
Inside, the relationship with nature becomes even stronger. Upon entering the foyer, the view is immediately drawn toward a central courtyard at the heart of the home. Natural light, landscape, and changing seasons are brought deep into the interior, creating a constant connection between inside and outside.
Throughout the house, every opening has been intentionally framed. Each window, on every floor, establishes its own relationship with the surrounding landscape, sometimes capturing a distant view, sometimes focusing on a more intimate moment of nature.
The spaces are generous, open, and carefully considered, yet the project remains grounded in the idea of home. Beyond its scale and architectural presence, it was designed to feel personal, comfortable, and deeply connected to its setting.
Every space carries Farzan Jabbari’s distinctive design vision, making House on the Hill a highly individual response to a remarkable site; one where architecture, landscape, light, and everyday life are inseparable.
