The Hideout was designed to achieve a memorable experience for kids and their parents while increasing the physical dimensions of a successful ski school program. CCY worked collaboratively with Aspen Skiing Company and 555 International to create an architectural experience––both indoors and outdoors––that embodies the experience of a hideout or a fort.
The building design features fun, custom kid-sized elements that create a whimsical sense of place, with age-specific play areas. Interior and exterior architecture overlap to enhance the program experience. Eye-popping colorful accents, playful window placement, and intriguing foreground walls, trellis and observation tower all add personality to an otherwise quiet, low-slung and unassuming building.
