It is a “polite architecture” in the historic center of an italian town, a major restructuring that takes a contemporary language, while continuing to communicate with the historic location.
The main facade is decorated with a backdrop and holding up the stairwell outside main entrance: a giant slab of marble structured and supported with stainless steel and carved with a decoration laser to get a good transparency.
The scale is purposely distanced from architecture thanks to steel spacers that hold the step in monolithic marble, accentuated by the lighting system that highlights also the perforations of the backdrop. The balcony railings are contrasted with the lightness of the glass plates and the materiality of wrought iron. The compartments of finetre cite the historic environment with a slightly rounded, as well as the cornices. The colors are delicate for all architecture: shades of gray that overlap to accentuate the linearity of prospectuses, also facilitated by sliding doors and windows in the walls.
