The F.P.U Building
A private foundation, specialized in the fight against female breast cancer, is developing its new headquarters in Guayaquil. Although they already have an architectural proposal, the feel it's not quite institutional for the image they want to project to the public. So, they called us, and our proposal goes like this:This complex must express strength and protection, tenderness and bravery. We get through a combination of different elements. Instead of one linear block, we proposed two squad-shaped buildings, surrounding an inner patio. The buildings protect the patio, in the same way the ill ones are protected by this intuition. We also use materials to express and provoke emotions. Concrete is strong, but if it's also combined with a little pink pigment, it also express the symbol of the fight against breast cancer.The Stairway of one of
