The brief for the FA space asked for something fresh and exciting. Providing a collaborative working environment, with spaces, furniture and aspect combining to stimulate contact, buzz and link with the sport and its direction.
Efficient working areas allow for a flexible working space which is adaptable to the host of activities carried out. Suites of hot desks are provided for visiting referees, and library areas with full working and reference material spaces.
There was a further emphasis to create a social hub, a space in which the staff is able to socialise, watch a game, shoot pool, or just have a casual meeting. Public areas such as the FA boardroom require a degree of gravitas, as well as style, to lend the right feeling of tradition and authority that was intended.
