With the growing idea of homes not just being our places to rest and unwind but also defining our lifestyle and societal status, there has been an increase in people being more open-minded about employing different design strategies and experimenting with newer and out-of-the-box themes that were far-fetched before. One such example is the lavish and sprawling Kataria’s Residence spread over an area of 35,000 sq. ft., whose interiors are designed by team Essentia Environments, spearheaded by Hardesh Chawla and Monica Chawla.
This dynamic home exudes a lively energy that captures the client’s penchant for zestful fascination in their space. With a penchant for modern luxury and a love for entertainment, their house was tailored to their unique personalities. The basement and terrace were transformed into a dedicated party space with all the amenities required for hosting unforgettable gatherings. The entire home exudes opulence and a sleek ultra-modern aesthetic, perfectly reflecting the couple's lavish lifestyle. The design is carefully crafted to capture their cheerful essence and create a space embodying their vision of modern grandeur.
To reflect the preferences of the homeowners, the colour scheme of the home is carefully selected to predominantly feature shades of grey and white. To create a luxurious and modern living environment, every aspect of the house is thoughtfully designed to include a range of amenities such as a spa, massage room, and gym. To further elevate the overall ambience, the design incorporates various elements such as sculptures, feature walls, and water features to accentuate specific areas of the home. By seamlessly integrating these details into the modern design, the result is a truly stunning space that perfectly captures the couple's refined and elegant taste.
The home is divided into three main zones, each designed to cater to the specific client requirements. The first zone is the public or partying area, comprising the basement and terrace. The basement features a wellness area, including a massage room, powder bathroom, and a dressing area/ home salon, with the standout feature being the basalt stone used in the powder washroom. The formal living area is open and spacious, with natural light and greens flooding the space while creating ample seating for up to 25-30 people.
