Reaching the highest level of eco-friendliness was a central goal of this storey-addition in Landeck. For the clients, it was an affair of heart to renounce chemicals and petroleum-based construction materials wherever possible. The location right in the middle of nature served as a point of reference for planning. Correspondingly, the building should unite aesthetics with ecological spirits.
Ecological building in the Tyrolean Alps – this was the motto of the realization of this storey-addition. The construction is characterized by a façade that is completely covered in wooden panels, giving the entire building a uniform cladding that results in an elegant and subtle architecture.
By the use of clay walls and local silver fir, the interior clearly exhibits its reference to nature and creates a calm and harmonious atmosphere. A highlight of the interior design is the curved staircase made of industrial steel, which embeds itself as an art object into the otherwise modest design.
