The DocDeti Children's Clinic, designed by the Tochka Design studio
The Tochka Design Studio designed the interior for the space of the DocDeti network of private children's clinics, combining futuristic details and monochrome seriousness of color solutions in the project.
In a project for the DocDeti network of private clinics the Tochka Design studio managed to get away from standard ideas about a children's medical center. The interior palette was determined by the task of making the space neutral for both children and adults: it is completely built on a combination of white and black with accents in the form of metal surfaces. Bright accents were added to this background in the form of navigation elements and partition walls, which helped to reflect the brand identity.
The very architecture of the building in which the clinic is located created difficulties in work — standard medicine rooms had to be fitted into the arc-shaped space. The planning solutions were developed by designers together with contractors who are know perfectly well of the specifics and standards for the equipment of a specialized medical center. For the rest of the medicine rooms, a unified approach was chosen, which was transferred to all spaces.
"The main part of the furniture is intended for medical purposes, so the choice was quite limited, and we consulted only on color combinations," the authors of the project say. "Other pieces of furniture were either found at IKEA or custom-made." As another successful solution, the designers managed to avoid the mandatory use of ceramic tiles in the sink area, which was replaced by stainless steel panels.
The concept of the project is based on the idea of raising children through the real adult world, where there is no deliberate illusory. However, the feeling of coldness is compensated by the ability to paint on the walls, control LED lights, ride a slide connecting two floors, play and read in specially designed areas.
