Typically, when you create a bridge the river is perceived as an obstacle. And then, depending on the width of the river, its course, the height of the coasts, the need for passage of ships selected bridge design or constructed ferry. I would like your project to make sure that all basic conditions, on which depends the type of crossing is not an obstacle, but rather contributed to the creation of the crossing, facilitate movement of pedestrians from one bank to another. I would also like to expand the number of functions of the bridge, so that it was seen not just the engineering and construction of transit, and became a kind of cultural-mass object. On both sides of the river are one steady flight of the bridge with some supports for the passage of water and small boats. Between these spans is a ring with a diameter of about 90 meters. On the bottom of the ring mounted blades and outboard motors with screws, by which the ring is rotated around its axis. The ring consists of two vertical levels. Thus, a pedestrian, falling from fixed parts of the bridge to the upper level of the ring, moves in a circle on the other side of the river. For a more comfortable stay of pedestrians on the upper level of the ring are provided benches with awnings, flower beds with greenery. The top level of the ring can fall down stairs to the lower level. The lower level rooms are located rings cafe, bar, internet café, a small gift shop and a small museum of the history of the development of the River Liffey. The stationary parts of the bridge have a kitchen a café and a bar, situated immediately stairs and elevators for loading dishes. Also, there are lifts and stairs to evacuate from the lower level of the ring. At the entrance to the bridge there are bike rental. Technically, the ring consists of four elements, mutually connected to each other. With the passage of large ships are one of the two elements are fixed at the supports of the bridge, the other, maneuvering engines are discharged to the river banks. Thus, while both levels of the ring, you can not just move to the other side, but also to spend time admiring the beauty of the River Liffey and the quays of Dublin.
