An addition to an existing home in Saint Andrews, this bachelor suite’s design dares to be contemporary in it’s historic context while still paying respect to the vernacular of the traditional, coastal town.
Quaint and unassuming from the street-front, the home opens up along it’s length with two opposingly pitched roofs, borrowing views (and it’s namesake) from the adjacent park on one side, and connecting to a shared backyard on the other. Massive interior spaces, unrealized from the outside, provide stunning views and light, filtered through an existing tree-line from the park, in the main living space, while intimate zones of privacy are created in the lower heights of the roof’s pitch.
