Located in the neighborhood of Lapa, Rio de Janeiro, this is the first oficial branch of The Cevern Club in Liverpool, England. The plache where the Beatles started their career and played for many years.The project takes its inspiration from the original house, but following the current needs and contemporary architecture.The new structure of steel and concrete reveals theintervention being made, creating, literally, a gap between thenew and the old.The stage, represented by a white box on balance, has its background inglass, allowing users downstairs to realize the show happening by the lights and shadows that form on the back wall.The volume balance in the loft receives projections that can be seen from the street and arouse the interest of passersby.The ceiling made of strips of wood reffers to the form of the original Cavern and hide tods facilities and acoustic and thermal protections.
