For more than 20 years, The Behavior Exchange has helped children with autism spectrum disorders, behavioral issues, developmental delays, and other special needs reach their full potential. Designed by Corgan, their newest location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area supports this mission in their trademark environment full of bright colors, fun artwork, and inspirational design. Created for exploration and wonder, The Behavior Exchange Prosper is a 9,000-square-foot facility that encourages children to learn, grow, and develop.
A large indoor play area offers a space for social skills groups, fun sensory experiences, and strengthening motor skills. Science and arts & crafts rooms empower creativity and discovery. Furniture pods and “tree/hexagon” designs were intended to allow kids to step away from the play area and decompress or have one-on-one time with the therapists. The Corgan design team wanted these smaller spaces to create “cocoon moments” and allow for reprieve — if needed — without having to leave the indoor play area. These purpose of these cocoons contrast with the bright colors and activity of the rest of the space.
There are over 12 private rooms for highly individualized ABA therapy sessions, while private offices and conference rooms can flex to be used for assessments, telehealth sessions, parent training, and consultations.
