The Asylum – Houston, TX. Positioned in an older warehouse district in Houston’s west-side, Asylum Automobile Storage is supplying the need for a burgeoning sub-culture of car enthusiasts. This renovation of a dilapidated warehouse breathes new life in an otherwise forgotten building, bringing over 80,000 square feet of conditioned luxury car storage to the market for those looking to store their unique vehicles in a secure space. The reconstruction was fairly straightforward, so simplicity in design governed the process inside and out. The program on the inside is situated toward the south-eastern corner of the building, complete with an all-glass customer lounge overlooking the inventory of cars on the second floor. The exterior of the building received an upgraded canopy system, and architectural entry with an industrial material and color palette.
