THE ARTIFICIAL DUNE

Firm
The concept of a high-rise building is usually associated with a glass cuboid. This project wanted to question this concept by proposing a different solution. Because of the location by the seashore, I proposed a high-rise building that in its shape resembles a vegetated dune. This artificial dune is formed by three different cuboids that rise from the ground in different angles and narrow at the top. Each cuboid is of a different height and therefore offers a different view, of the forest, of the sea and of the sky respectively. On the roof of the two lower cuboids there are observation decks that offer beautiful views, to the south you can see the city of Gdansk, and to the north the polish Baltic sea. The roof of the third cuid makes place for the installment of sun collectors.
