The Arthouse by Aldar, a living gallery where creativity meets comfort. Designed to inspire connections and offer the exclusivity of a private members’ club.
We designed The Arthouse to embody the unique energy of an exclusive private members’ club. The concept being to create a thoughtfully curated community where like-minded individuals come together to connect, unwind, and be inspired. Designed to offer both privacy and a sense of belonging. Our intention was to create an environment where every interaction feels effortless, and every space is an extension of refined living.
From serene gardens that invite quiet reflection to the vibrant rooftop lounge where conversations flow as easily as the views, every detail is crafted to enhance the experience of exclusivity. Whether you’re indulging in world-class amenities, gathering with neighbours over a shared love of art and culture, or finding inspiration in the beautifully designed surroundings. The Arthouse creates a seamless balance between personal retreat and social connection. Here, luxury isn’t just about what you have. It’s about how you live.
INSPIRED BY A TROPICAL UTOPIA
The design draws inspiration from a tropical utopia, where the structure embodies the lightness and fluidity of clouds. While the base reflects the strength and texture of natural rock formations. Set within a lush landscape, the concept transitions from a neutral expression to a warmer, more inviting feel. The surroundings enhance the sense of escape and tranquillity. This careful interplay between modern elegance and organic elements creates an exceptional living experience, offering both refinement and a deep connection to nature.
THE ARCHITECTURE
The Arthouse presents a contemporary architectural design that seamlessly integrates natural materials, warm tones, and fluid forms. Its façade showcases a refined fusion of bronze metal cladding, timber soffits, and expansive glass elements. This blend provides a sophisticated yet organic character. Integrated greenery through stone cladding with planters further enhances its connection to the natural surroundings, softening the architectural form and reinforcing a biophilic design approach.
The material palette plays a crucial role in defining the building’s aesthetic and tactile experience. GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) slab edges create smooth, clean lines that emphasize the structure’s fluidity. Timber elements, including slat pergolas and soffits, introduce warmth and texture, contrasting beautifully against the metallic surfaces. A combination of curved and straight vision glass IGU enhances transparency and reflects the surrounding landscape. Meanwhile, bronze-look metal cladding and privacy screens add depth to the façade, creating a sense of movement and light play throughout different times of the day.
A key highlight of the design is the balcony detailing. The details contribute significantly to the building’s visual identity. Metal privacy screens, finished in a bronze tone, are arranged rhythmically across the façade. This approach offers shading but also acts as a distinctive architectural element. Metal fin balustrades maintain an open, contemporary aesthetic. While curved slab edges introduce a softer, organic flow to the building’s form, contrasting harmoniously with the vertical privacy screens. Additionally, flat screens on the spandrel glass add a layered effect, further enhancing shading and privacy while maintaining the overall elegance of the design.
THE ARRIVAL
The arrival experience at the Arthouse is an elegant transition from the urban fabric to a serene, nature-inspired retreat. Featuring sculptural columns wrapped in bronze metal, accentuated by warm timber detailing. The interplay of light and shadow through the vertical metal fins creates a dynamic, ever-changing visual effect. Expansive overhangs provide shade and reinforce the building’s fluid architectural language, while lush greenery further softens the space, establishing a welcoming yet luxurious atmosphere. The refined material palette, coupled with carefully curated lighting, enhances the sense of grandeur and exclusivity, setting the tone for the sophisticated living experience within.
