The Alameda House. A Tribute to Caracas Valley and City.
The Alameda residence is a proposal for a steep hillside site in a typical Caracas residential area, that overviews the Valley. It is a part of a series of houses designed for difficult terrain condition often found in the northen coastal areas of Venezuela, of which Tiama House and Farallón House are earlier examples.
The house recognizes and takes advantage of the vast and astonishing view of the city valley and the majestic Avila mountain. Every space in the house floats over the valley and brings this natural and man-made immensity down to the most intimate corner, filtering it´s magnitude through the human proportions of architecture.
