The Ahliyyah School for Girls and the Bishop School for Boys are two of the oldest and most established academic institutions in Jordan. The project was a private competition entry to design a joint campus for the two schools that accommodates the progressive digitally-enabled pedagogic strategy. The campus is located in the outskirts of Amman and consists of a complex of interconnected buildings that blend direct learning spaces such as classrooms and labs with indirect learning spaces such as the cafeteria, corridors, and open spaces. The architecture and interior design works with contemporary teaching theories and methods that are based on self-learning, interactive knowledge exchange, and collaborative exploration through spaces that promote co-working, flexibility, and experimentation in an environmentally aware, sustainable architectural environment.
