Project dimension= 32 sqm
Completion date: November 2017
Location: Alexandroupolis, Greece, 68100
The project concerns the renovation of a living space in an office space, without destroying the main uses of the first one. More specifically, there was the need to create a small office space without dismantling the kitchen that would probably be used for future use-rental of the house. For this reason, this entire project was based on the reconstruction of an intelligent invention of sliding panels that hide the kitchen and fit perfectly into space. The modern library, with close and open elements, works supportively for the central classic desk and ends up in a glass sliding door that separates the waiting area from the main space. Specifically, the lacquered wooden library with the asymmetrical hidden doors is interrupted by an oak wooden box for books, which has a green marble surface on the back with hidden light, giving depth and a sense of luxury. The whole bookshelf is located on top off a marble bigger base creating a strong connection with other elements on space. The earthly shades of all furniture and fabrics blend perfectly with the touches of intense emerald colors giving a fresh view of a young lawyers office that has usually more sever style. The pendant rectangular ceiling lamp that surrounds the perimetric hidden illumination as well as the painted work of art with the special oak frame drives the visitor's eye into interesting visual points. Gold details and special textiles give a classic touch to the whole project.
