The brief for this Thai villa centered upon the unique rural setting and the need to design a vacation rental that was decidedly Thai, rooted in local traditions, and be built by local craftsmen, whilst also ensuring guest comfort and privacy at this vacation rental.
The villa is offered for rent on a full board basis, so the kitchen layout was also important. Thus we combined elements of an indoor western kitchen for use by guests who choose to try their own hand at cooking, with a separate Thai kitchen for use by the villa staff.
The villa was positioned to maximize both views and guest privacy. the 3 meter deck height grants panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, whilst also ensuring complete guest privacy on the deck and around the private swimming pool, as well as in the open air garden shower that is a feature of the master bedroom.
The private swimming pool uses a salt water chlorination system.
The roof uses hand crafted Thai terracotta tiles.
The bedrooms are decorated in Thai motif wallpaper, and finished with teak four poster beds and hardwood floors, whilst also enjoying air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.
