The Shunde Towers is a flagship project for a developing city in China. This complex will take bold strides with sustainable technologies to create a solution that harmonizes with the local environment and sets the city apart from all of China. Energy limitations make innovation a necessity. The sail on the larger tower is intended to reduce solar heat gain for both buildings and act as a drive for the natural ventilation systems. It will pull warm air down into the cool deep cavities of the basement and cycle it upwards through core slabs. The site will house a four story shopping center on the ground floor plane as well as two towers with 38 stories of office space and 63 floors of hotel. This is easily the largest development in the history of Shunde China, and will leave a TFC legacy for generations to come.
