An owner would like to build two houses, one for herself and another one for her retired mother. The owner is familiar with an international style of concrete building while her mother is grown up in a traditional Thai house.
‘Saving energy while they living in the house’ is the only concern they shared in common.
Therefore, two different house characters have put into site layout but work under a same principle of saving energy.
A wooden Thai house – Main focus is on an aesthetic ,but must provide a comfort feeling to user. Proportion and slenderness of this Thai house have to adjusted to regarding to a condition of golden teak columns.
A concrete house – Highly concern on energy saving and acts as a service area of the Thai house.
Therefore, a small walkway to connect between two building is necessary. It does not only function as link, but also acts as a space transfer elements, a space divider for privacy control and a double security.
